J’exprime correctement le but

In order (not) to [pour (ne pas)/ afin de (ne pas)] + Bare infinitive

so as (not) to [pour (ne pas)/ afin de (ne pas)] + Bare infinitive

(not) to [pour (ne pas)] + Bare infinitive

In order that, (pour que/ afin que) + Subj + Modal (can, may, might, could, would)

so that (pour que/ afin que) + Subj + Modal (can, may, might, could, would)

Example: I study English in order to join a Canadian university.

They wake up early so as not to arrive late.

She invited all her friends to celebrate her birthday.

They shared the work load so that they can finish on time.

J’exprime correctement une conséquence

Pour exprimer une conséquence, j’utilise les conjonctions suivantes :

Consequently (par conséquent)

As a result (en conséquence)

Therefore (donc/ par conséquent)

Accordingly (par conséquent/ en conséquence) 

Then (donc)

Thus (donc, ainsi)

So (alors)

NB : Ces conjonctions sont suivies de sujet + verbe

Example: She succeeded the job interview, therefore she got the job.

He is a good footballer, as a result the club proposed him a contract.

This man was driving too fast, so the police made him pay a fine.
